    Yes I think you misunderstood where I was coming from when comparing happy with contentment. The description of your life seems to me to be what I explained contentment to be. You deal with your problems as they arise and look forward to the next challenge or moment of pleasure. Thats contentment. I'm more referring to those who have a goal to live a happy life. Happy is not a continual state to live in. Being happy is a mood and a reaction from something uplifting, but it is always fleeting and never permanent, as we cannot control most of the bad things that happen to us.
    How many times have you heard people say that they would like to meet a partner so they can be happy? Thats such a daft thing to want because it's impossible to achieve. Being content with life should be the goal.
