The state of Jesus's mind, doesn't take a brain wave to work that one out BUT, 17:3 has ABSOLUTELY zero to do with that, to place that in there is for nothing less than a decoy, to get away from the KEY point he makes, eternal life depends on it.
He is simply following up that fact that he was given power to give life, and then tells you what getting this eternal life involves.
That is EXACTLY what Jesus intended, no two ways about it.

It has nothing to do with verse 17:3, that is having to know the only true God, the Father and whom he sent, Jesus Christ, the Son and not God or God the Son, for eternal life.

Wotsup, you have an incorrect understanding of Heb1:3. It has nothing to do with expressing or speaking words as you have claimed many times. Apparently, the archaic language of the KJV has you thinking it does.

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; - KJV

Compare it with any modern Bible that uses language more readily understood today.

This doesn't mean Jesus didn't speak in harmony with his Father. That Jesus is the image of God means he has the same personality or superb qualities of God. This is something all Christians should strive to acquire.
