Can we comprehend the nature of God?
I have never met a Christian who has said, 'yes' to this question, and then said Christian may go off and argue for a Trinity which defines the nature of God. Humans can't possibly comprehend the nature of God yet human minds conceived this notion of a Trinity to describe the nature of God. It's really confusing, isn't it?
The nature of God is beyond human comprehension, yet said God is divided up for Christians into 3 which is 1 and not 3 but it is. So without any division God entered His own Creation to be subject to the corruption of physical reality. A perfect state of God became corrupted. He ate, defecated, died and rotted away. That is a very strange God indeed.
I really don’t want to get caught up in more posting, as I’m stretched for time in many ways so I’ll just keep it simple to be polite and answering you partially
Correct No one can comprehend God, mostly what we know was revealed by his son Jesus. His revelation is / was that God has a Son, namely Jesus, who was with God and is God John 1:1
The rest we all only humans will have to take it up with God when we meet Him as this is obviously a waste of time bickering among ourselves as we are all in the same shoes
Not Three Gods, so one God then? So the Holy Spirit must be the active force of God, and we are now down to 2 because the Holy Spirit and God are one and the same, because if God is 3 in 1 then what is 1 and what is 2 and what is 3?
No, Jesus was very clear that he would send down the holy spirit and it came down at Pentecost, so in effect you are saying that Jesus sent the infinite God into the world, that in self would suggest one -Jesus has to be God to sent the infinite God down into creation, that would rule out God and the Holy spirit as being the same, more likely the unity that holds the Father and Son together as one, which is love
Now Jesus is the reflection of God, He represents God, He has the authority of God. The spirit of Jesus is empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve the Will of God, but He is not a part of the Godhead, He reflects the Godhead.
If God is infinite and Jesus is a reflection of that infinity then that would make him God
Thank God we have turned 3 that is really 1 back into a 1 that is really a 1.
Well then there is no problem as God is one
The Trinity is an original, new form of paganism, it is the equivalent of pagan worship, it divides in the mind that which is not divided.
No the Trinity is simple, just look at the Bible, we have the Father and the Holy Spirit of the OT, Jesus and again the Holy of the NT, nothing to do with paganism, this is a cheap shot to discredit it and bolsters something else.
Anyway, I said enough and have no intention of starting another match with someone else.
