I appreciate that your religion must make all efforts to remove Jesus from the Trinity, which is fine because the Trinity is a manmade concept, but Jesus has never and would never be referred to by any Bible scribe as, and the Word was a god.

So if the concept is understood there is no need to disrespect Jesus by calling Him, a lower case god. The understanding is that if Jesus represents the WORD and Will of God, the the WORD was God is respectful and correct.

In an attempt at some kind of literal correctness you lose sight of the station of Christ which has never been described as, was a god. Even religion requires common sense.
