    Rather than listening to Catholic Answers it is best to see what the Holy Scriptures tell us. It would be of no value to have inspired writings if Gods' servants were unable to discern which writings were inspired and which were not.

    (1 Corinthians 12:8-10) For to one is given speech of wisdom through the spirit, to another speech of knowledge according to the same spirit, 9 to another faith by the same spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one spirit, 10 to yet another operations of powerful works, to another prophesying, to another discernment of inspired expressions, to another different tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues.

    The letter known as 1 Corinthians was one of the earliest inspired Greek Scriptures that Paul wrote, but it is evident that Paul wrote an even earlier letter to them that was not inspired.
