Smiler, I was going to refrain from posting anything on the Gold thread for a while....but reading your post:

Tell me how the barter system is going to work? Will I have to carry around gold bullion? Will the bullion have to be assayed, at time of every purchase, at the supermarket and petrol station?
I am interested in a serious discussion on this topic, as I find the impending collapse very disturbing.
