UHD? Is there sufficient bandwidth in Aus for that? If there is I'm sure Quickflix will support it soon enough.
I grant your main point though. There is a possibility that Netflix will launch in Australia. If it happens soon, that would almost certainly sink QFX. If NFX can offer a better service and/or price customers will rightly go their way. However, there are other areas Netflix could target first Germany, France, Japan, China, Korea ... I'm happy to take that risk. Long term, Quickflix will only succeed if it can develop a catalogue comparable to or better than what Netflix offers, by that stage QFX will be entrenched and NFX will stay out.
Ironically if Netflix launches in Aus right now their main competitor would be themselves via VPN!
