re: toxo vs tox Tibbsy - nice summary there :)
My strategy is more along the lines of your last option, with the funds going into the SMSF. The fact that the funds are "locked" in the SMSF doesn't worry me, due to my age, and the fact that I am actively trying to stash as much as possible into my SMSF over the next 5 years or so, for capital growth, before changing to a dividend yield strategy.
And don't forget that TOX is not my only stock - I have several others, most of which are also doing very nicely thank you, so my capital is already working well.
I certainly see the value of leveraging via options, but just assume that the unthinkable happens, and the TOX trend rolls right over next week - my stop loss will have me out of there. By doing the shuffle to options, I'm gambling on the shares getting significantly higher than they are now. I prefer not to gamble, being basically conservative. While I'm holding the shares, it doesn't matter if they roll over - I'll be out on my stoploss. If I were holding options, I might end up losing.
While I certainly don't think this scenario is likely, and I certainly HOPE it's not, I'm sitting on a nice uptrending winner at the moment, and I'm not about to try to get too smart with it.
But, as always, all opinions and suggestions gratefully received - I'm always open to learning :)
