It has certainly been a great week (and last 4 weeks) for LNC s/hs.

I think sentiment started to change when Roman paid a visit and then the positive statements from the AGM, particularly from PB and SB that the oil production target would be reached.

Prior to that, there was much negativity, people saying that LNC wouldn’t get finance for their oil business (remember that Dan)and saying before that, with all their spending, that they weren't financially viable.

So when the announcement came out that they HAD reached the target, all of their projects were suddenly viable again. Hence, the huge S/P increase since then.

I have previously listed the positive announcements that preceded (in the space of 6 weeks) the all time high S/P of $5.39,including one that would add $3.75 to the S/P(it didn’t happen).

With all the potential good news in the wings at present, IMHO if we get 2 really good announcements within a couple of weeks of each other, we could hit the $5 mark. By really good, I’m thinking Oil Shale worth $1B +, a deep well in Gulf Coast pumping 800+ bopd, new deal in Russia with RA and BHP worth $Bs to LNC, etc.

Exciting times ahead for 2013 . Even without 2 of those abovementioned events, there is a good chance of S/P of $5 by Dec 2013 IMHO.

For these reasons LNC has remained a big part of my SMSF since 2008 and is looking much better at present.
