The ASX data doesn't support the suggestion that BBP is being shorted to any great degree. We will have to wait until this afternoon to find out what happened yesterday.
Even if we get a retrace, the underlying facts have not changed: BBP is up for sale, the company has had strong interest from multiple parties and they will make an announcement soon. You'd be a brave person to short those facts. Each to their own I guess.
