IMHO, with the upcoming Federal election, both sides of politics and also the Greens will make heavy investments including but not limited to CCE.
Given that bot Labor and the Coalition both supported CCE/CWE in the past, neither will want to outwardly admit that investment was ill founded.
Also IMHO, given the Coalition's back tracking on carbon etc, they will be looking to shore up whatever renewable opportunities present themselves.
And you can bet Mike Fitzpatrick will be in there lobbying to secure his recent investment
