Never? What a ridiculous short sighted statement, sound like the guys who said digital for consumer photography would never replace film. Only reason drones aren't capturing cities and urban areas today is because of FAA/CAA approval to fly into controlled airspace which they will eventually obtain and already seeking to do so.

Not as if the technology off the shelf isn't already available. Challenge for Nearmap is to make sure they are using their technology in the drones and not someone elses, maybe something they should already be working on instead of flying around the US in cessnas.
