The West Needs to Wake Up!, page-5

This is in World Politics so this is fair comment:

Only Donald Trump can prevent this. He is stemming the theft of technology [started in 2017] and China can't stay at the sharp end without the West. Their domestic aircraft, B 737 size, is stalled and even with chip manufacture they steal the high tech stuff but need imported "bulk" chips. This is counterintuitive but that's what I'm reading.

Militarily they are in worse shape, they reverse engineer jet engines but still can't match the US, Europe or Russia in either power or reliability. With the US providing cover China is encircled by nations they have pissed off. India is rattling their sabres big time. Japan is a force to be reckoned with as is Taiwan. Their navy is only now starting to become a "blue water" navy, most of its ships are quite small and it will take years to build a REAL carrier and equip it with aircraft with enough power to carry both a full fuel load and munitions. What they have today is a compromise.

2020 will not be forgotten, it will be the beginning of the end of China, among other things too trivial to mention.
