Sadly the Lib/Lab system we laughably describe as a democracy has slid into such self obsessed decay the country can literally be on fire and their gaze is still on themselves. I don't vote Labor but enjoyed Albo's analogy this week that any golfer will tell you a wedge has uses but you need a driver to get going. The current government puts all its effort into create wedge politics to maintain power, the welfare drug testing being this weeks example.

Corruption is blatant and rampant on both sides, "Australia has failed to improve on its record low ranking in a global measure of government corruption, prompting renewed calls for a powerful federal integrity commission to be established “without delay and political wrangling”. The lobbyist system and jobs for the boys (and girls) when they leave office is a poorly hidden travesty. I say we need more "unrepresentative swill", give your local independent the nod. This country desperately needs a democracy injection with something more on offer than 2 flavors of the same shite in a perpetual cycle of whos turn it is at the trough.
