I don't think so. I think they believe they believe they will be able to confirm a simpler trial design than what otherwise might be expected and they know this will be 'valuable' to BP. Also just removing uncertainty around trial design is valuable. Unknowns = risk = discount
I firmly believe that waiting for FDA feedback and animal studies is the sweet spot for maximising value for any TO in the short term. The market doesn't agree right now but markets gonna do what markets gonna do, always the way.
