I had a very long-winded post typed out regarding the murky world of takeovers, share price "softening up", BP, insto buying, shadowy machinations etc, but I guess what I really wanted to know was this; what are we actually paying Jefferies to do? What does NEU management expect of them? It's a genuine question, not a veiled whinge about SP depreciation. Jefferies were hired as a 'defence advisor' back in November; what does that mean in practice?
