In that case PYC has developed much more than capability for peptide delivery. It has morphed into a molecule making biotech in RNA therapeutics. I read an article on the design of antisense oligonucleotides in everyday language which unfortunately was lost. The gist of the article, however, concerned the rational design structure for ASOs. Essentially, once you have the backbone design for an ASO, its relatively straight forward to modify the design for the expression of specific genes.
One can go from inherited retinal disease to DMD to any number of 6000 rare genetic diseases.
