Maybe you should view the aemo reports yourself rather than interpretation from a dimwit....whole sale prices have been falling due to increases in solar and wind however due to the unreliable coal fired powerstations the savings havnt been past on....read it in previous reports...and futher recently they stated nuclear is not an option in transition to renewables as nuclear can't be turned of...and as AmbrosePethick pointed out last night smr wont be available till mid 2040s...gas is a better option because it can be turned on when renewables dont cover 100%...also maybe you should research storage which should aleviate most or all of the pain fossil fuel are adding to the power bills
