Maybe you should read a bit more about 1948...There was no murdering of innocent, no homes were ransacked, no residents were kicked out of the land. The nations surrounding the the territory informed all residents to leave their homes and it would be given back once all jews were removed.

Now that started a ware which was lost. The residents made their own decision by leaving their homes.

As you said if they were the majority in the territory, they could have lived without the need to run people out of their country or leave their country so that they could be murdered.

In 1948, there was no army, most people that fought in that war for Israel were war torn!

Now before you all get your hopes up, maybe you should visit the country and realise that Jews are not the only inhabitants and find the 'truth' which is many religions live there and share the country in piece...including Jews, Muslims and Christians.
