I do think there are shades of grey and there have always been these people. Some cultural groups recognise this but culturally they were also recognised as a third sex or they just quietly got on with life. What is different is the demand for all the feelings to be translated into rights that ignore everyone else. These rights have the impact of trying to expunge sex based on chromosomes
