bird flu is a press beat up
Once again the truth has got lost in press sensationalism.
Fird flu has been in Australia as long as there have been birds. It's a very common disease in aviaries and anyone buying a pet parrot would have been advised to have it tested for Bird Flu.
Those living in close proximity with their animals could contact the flu although it doesn't change to humans easily.
Most people who catch Bird Flu wouldn't even know that they had anything more than a severe cold. As bird body temperature is several degrees higher than Humans, the normal human defence of increasing body temperature doesn't work against bird flu.
Other than that a normal healthy body will clear it up as it will any other strain of Flu.
The medical profession want these panics.
The press sell papers and advertise their rubbish.
The public are gullible.
The real casualty once again is the truth. Now where is all that water in our dams going again..........we will all soon be dead from drought.........
