Leighton truly is a powerhouse. Yey another 300m contract announced today. That's (without checking) about 6 in past 7 weeks. The biggie... namely the 3.5Billion Victorian desal plant came down to 2 tenders. One was Theiss and the other John Holland. BOTH owned by Leighton!!

This company has a virtual monopoly on contracts above 700m with pure railway work being the only exception. Roads, dams, ports, harbours, tunnels, open-cut mining, underground mining, massive buildings including stadiums. Geez.... LEI is everywhere you look. Expect good FY09 result and steady climb by SP back to around 33.50 by mid/late october is my guesstimate.
LEI... a core stk for every med/long term investor's portfolio.

PS. Let's hope MAH gets parts of LEI's never-ending stream of recent contract wins totalling about 6 BILLION!!!
