...and the most frightening "sleeper" is the council rates. They've been going up massively the last five or six years and it wouldn't take much of a percentage to make it near impossible for pensioners and superannuants to pay the wretched things.
The higher the price (not the value) of your house, the higher your council rates. There will be no one to defend you.
