well, as you know, I'm not a city guy and I certainly don't like Paris and I've never had any desire to go to Marseille either --------- but, I've now spent several years in France and I've seen a lot of it -

I'm yet to see anything that's not a drop dead gorgeous country - great land, great people.

One can always argue about spots in the big cities - but, that's true of Oz too.

I was in Strasbourg for a while back last week or so - supposedly one of the right wing wackos muslim cities --------------- well, I'm not a city bloke - but, what a gorgeous place

if one were a city person - it's a wow - biggly

I'm very attuned to aggressive societies - and France is a very peaceful place compared to Oz ------- by country miles.

Of course there's terrorist risks - and I'd be very surprised if there aren't attempts during the games - but, that's par for the course and I won't be anywhere within cooee of Paris during the games etc.
