I played a game of rugby in Paris in 1974 and we were lucky enough to spend a week there - probably one of the most memorable weeks of my life. I revisited Paris in 1989 and 2001 and the deterioration in the city was discomforting. From what I can see of Paris these days - you coulð not pay me to visit it.
