I do not have a position in Cougar but do hold a few other similar shares. As a Queenslander, my view is the Queensland Government are in an awkward postion. They are down in the polls and there is a lot of passion from Kingaroy where Cougar were working.

They have two options -

1.Allow Cougar to continue and go down further in the polls

2. Change the rules and upset Cougar and the shareholders, who then will take legal action to resolve.

Politically the second option is much easier to manage.
