    Baseload coal is struggling to achieve 60% uptime in 2024.

    That's why they are losing money . That's why they are dropping out of the market. As one drops out the others get a brief reprieve but its only temporary as more renewable energy and storage enters the market.

    A baseload nuclear plant needs to run at 90% plus to be remotely economic . lt couldn't do that in the Australian market as coal is proving .
