    Off topic but the thread seems to have moved to freight costs.
    I live in NQ and freight cost on similar items sent from say Melbourne is about the same as from England or America.
    Delivery is about one week from Melbourne, about ten days from England and two weeks from America using the cheapest freight method.
    Prices of items bought overseas are typically about half the price the same item sells for in Australia and thats buying from developed western countries. Prices from China are about 25% of what the item sells for in Australia and postage is sometimes included if it's a small item.

    So the price differences are staggering. Something is badly wrong with Australian retail prices and transport costs. We are ripped off badly here. There seems to be a multitude of reasons for that but I suspect very high retail rents and transport costs are a major contributor.
