With the new supertankers Fortescue is likely to reduce its shipping costs by up to $2.50 a ton. If that does occur excluding debt service payments they will be the worlds lowest cost producer. That changes the game for Rio and BHP. Once they know they can't terminate Fortescue, its very likely they will cut their own production because their long term goal of an oligopoly won't be able to be achieved.
Go Fortescue prove them all wrong
