re: chris what do u think of zinc or lead or nicke Hi seals,

You say your interested in zinc, me to. Below is a company I hold, below you will see that they have drilled a 17.1 m interval of 31.9% zinc!

    Below is my DD:
    • Open pit mining (from surface to at least 50m depth.)
    • The lead has been mined historically by hand, 150tone per year.
    • They would use the same type of process MMGG are proposing.(Skorpion Mine in Namibia, )
    • High altitude, not boggy rain forest see google earth Latitude: 15°23’N Longitude: 91°32’W
    • Based on the size and grade there is likely a few billion ponds of zinc.
    • Market cap approximately 20M (see miningpedia.com for more detail)
    • Share price has been at .80, now in a dip around 0.40 with drill results due in next month.
    • Web: http://www.firestoneventures.com
    • Agreement with 52 families in the Torlon area), see: http://www.firestoneventures.com/i/p...6-05-12_MJ.pdf
    • Road access, 12km from main town.
    • 100% interest (Rights)
    • strike length might be extended up to 300% to 700m
    • Can work year around (as compared to Canadian projects)
    • Autumn drill program in progress, more news in winter!
    • Gold property drill results due in a few weeks also.

    Property Holdings

Firestone Ventures has a four-year option to purchase 100% interest in the 16 ha (39.5 acre) Torlon Hill property. Firestone has also acquired the surrounding 134 ha (331.1 acres) Orbita exploration concession.

Location: 20 km west-northwest of Huehuetenango in western Guatemala.
Also: Firestone Ventures Inc. also has a 100% interest in more than 110,000 acres of land in southwestern Alberta!
Also they have Gold and silver focused property in the Yukon and British Columbia. (Drilling now in the Yukon)

    Highlights:
The most significant intersections from the Phase One 22-hole program include:
    • Hole TH06-1 intersected 28.8 m of 11.2% zinc incl. a 15.7 m interval of 17.4% zinc.
    • Hole TH06-2 intersected 33.0 m of 22.0% zinc incl. a 17.1 m interval of 31.9% zinc.
    • Hole TH06-12 intersected 24.4 m of 5.0% zinc incl. 6.1 m of 11.7% zinc
    • Hole TH06-13 intersected 51.8 m of 10.2% zinc incl. 15.5 m of 15.8% zinc and 2.6 m of 33.1% zinc.
    • Hole TH06-14 intersected 46.7 m of 12.5% zinc incl. 24.0 m of 17.9% zinc and 12.2 m of 10.8% zinc
    • Hole TH06-16 (new) intersected 7.6 m of 10.7% zinc, 3.0 m of 8.2% zinc and 3.0 m of 13.4 % zinc.
Next Steps - Surface Exploration and Phase Two Drilling

Firestone intends to follow-up on the considerable exploration potential of Torlon Hill with a surface exploration program in June, 2006. A 43-101 compliant drill report and metallurgical testing results from a mini-bulk sample collected by WGM are expected by the end of summer. The Phase Two drilling program, planned for Autumn, 2006

Highlights from underground chip sampling of the new Cinco Hermanos ("Five Brothers") zone include:

    • Sample CH06-6 returned 18.95% zinc, 24.1% lead and 90.0 grams/tonne silver across 0.9 m.

    • Sample CH06-11 returned 18.34% zinc, 11.55% lead and 46.0 grams/tonne silver across 1.5 m.

    • Sample CH06-1 returned 2.11% zinc, 34.75% lead and 540.4 grams/tonne silver across 2.0 m.

    History:
    From: http://www.firestoneventures.com/i/p...101_Report.pdf

    --
The Torlon property has historically been worked for lead on a small scale since the 16th century but its zinc potential had never been investigated prior to a field program carried out by Redhawk Resources Inc. in 2001.
    --
Small scale lead mining at Torlon has taken place since the 16th century. Members of the local mining cooperative recover galena nuggets, usually less than 5 centimetres, from surface and underground workings using pick and shovel mining. The galena nuggets are contained within a large oxidation envelope of zinc oxide-style mineralization. A galena concentrate is produced in nearby wooden sluiceboxes and then the concentrate is processed in a crude local smelter to produce 25 centimetre long lead ingots. The locals also produce ochre pigment and high-grade earthy zinc oxides used as a fertilizer additive. The total production of the various products is estimated at less than 150 tonnes per year. There are scattered piles and dumps of the “waste” zinc mineralization (smithsonite).
    --
In 1943 Roberts and Irving (1957) mapped the Torlon workings and included detailed descriptions and maps in their final report. They placed the known lead-zinc deposits in Guatemala in context with other lead-zinc deposits extending in a belt from Mexico through to Honduras and included detailed descriptions of the lead material processed by the Torlon miners. A total of nine rock samples of the zinc material were collected and returned 4.7 to 17.4% lead, 1.8 to 36.0% zinc and up to 6 ounces of silver per ton. They noted that the local miners sought only lead ore, and ground rich in zinc was generally avoided.
    ---
Up until the drilling from Firestone:
The only modern exploration to take place on the Torlon zinc property was the surface and underground exploration program conducted by Redhawk Resources Inc. in 2001. The main objective of this program was to complete a detailed initial evaluation of the Torlon property in preparation for a subsequent drill program. The program was successful in that it demonstrated the presence of a large zinc-oxide style system
