Company Information:
Byrnecut Mining is a successful underground mining contractor in Australia and overseas. Due to continued expansion of our Offshore Operations we are currently seeking applications from experienced people for the position of PROJECT MINING ENGINEER to work at our Perkoa Zinc Underground Project in Burkina Faso - West Africa


Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be a suitably qualified Project Engineer with ideally three years experience in an underground metalliferous environment. Previous experience in mine planning and associated software would be an advantage.

You will be responsible for:
• Provide contractual support to the project including preparation of claims, reviews and contract negotiations
• Establish and maintain reporting protocols
• Analysis and review of existing contracts
• Tracking of physicals
• Preparation of forecasts and reviewing KPI’s
• Achieving development and production targets
• Assist in Mine Planning role

It is essential that the successful applicant will have:
• Experience in dealing with mining contracts
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
• Relevant experience in Underground mining environment and mining equipment
• Previous experience in a contracting or similar role
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience

The position will be based on an 8 week on 4 week off roster from Burkina Faso in West Africa. A highly attractive remuneration package in US dollars will be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications to the successful applicant. Successful applicants must have a current passport and be able to undergo and pass an offshore medical and drug screen process.
