Zinc wharehouse stocks have fallen probably a little faster and lower to date than perhaps many thiught, which bodes well if Zn demand can remain stable. And that brings me to China, which really is the X factor in this equation. There is a good article in the Metal Bulletin yesterday which explains more. Some commentators say that Chinas infrastructure programs will restimulate their economy soon along with private industry reforms and a growing consumer driven economy. Other argue that real estate is stalling and that this will sedate commodity prices medium term . Its a matter of what we can discern from China, a country who plays her cards close to her chest at times making it hard to predict the future. I dont think anyone knows.
