in world war 2, if a able bodied frenchman slipped across the channel, he joined the "free french" etc - poles who got to england joined a polish unit etc etc - they, obviously were not given welfare , a council flat and spent their time at the local inn.

australia should form the "free afghani brigade", and when able bodied afghanis make their way to australia, they should be welcomed with open arms , and immediately sent to training camps. it is a waste of time, trying to "mentor afghanis in afghanistan - after all, they are probably taliban sympathizers - the ones who are escaping to australia, are probably better people to "mentor".

after the required military training the "free afghani brigade" will be parachuted, behind enemy lines (in afghanistan), with the objective of capturing, key strategic territory.

the "free afghani brigade" would be ferocious fighters, because they would be liberating the homeland - all the other foreign soldiers are nothing more than paid personnel who are paid to do a job - but they would probably prefer to be elsewhere
