    From ERN announcement:
The shear zone shows intense silica flooding with varying
amounts of pyrite mineralisation, often massive in appearance, minor arsenopyrite and has been
intruded by a number of pyritic felsic dykes or sills throughout the zone. This geological setting and
style of mineralisation is of a similar nature to that reported at Banro’s Twangiza deposit.

Doing some research on what all these terms mean, the intense silica flooding appears to be a good omen - from a Canadian explorers announcement:
"assays from the first 8 diamond drilling holes have not yet intercepted mineralization warranting follow-up, delineation drilling. However, intense silica flooding of the drilled rock as well as the presence of associated favorable silica-pyrite alteration with elevated trace mineral values indicative of a mineralized hydrothermal system was discovered on the property, thereby validating the ground and airborne geophysical methods.."

    Wikipedia reports on arsenopyrite:
"Arsenopyrite also can be associated with significant amounts of gold. Consequently it serves as an indicator of gold bearing reefs. Many arsenopyrite gold ores are refractory, i.e. the gold is not easily liberated from the mineral matrix."

Pyrite and quartz veins seem to go together so they are probably good words to be reading. Guess the only problem is whether the company is just giving the market something it wants to hear.

But there may be some hope left yet.
