    Michael Kroger penned an excellent article in this morning's Australian...It is behind a pay wall but no doubt will emerge at some point on google.

    https://www.theaustralian.com.au/commentary/abc-looks-at-australia-and-sees-only-faults-and-flaws/news-story/4f5033463ded35d43605289d8e60ae38

    As Kroger recognises in his article....."When you seriously analyse the ABC you start to appreciate the validity of Gerard Henderson’s long-maintained position, which is that the ABC is a staff-run collective. That is to say the program-makers and their editors are laws unto themselves and independent from the management and completely independent from the board."

    "It, (the ABC) constantly highlights Australia’s role in our diminishing world and presents us with a frightening future. In the eyes of the ABC we are led by heartless politicians who refuse to open our borders to unlimited immigration. This is presented as a cultural failing of Australians who by extension are immensely selfish and obviously racist"

    "The ABC is also suspicious of religion, which it regards as a dangerous and quaint oddity from the past. Christianity in general and the Catholic Church in particular are permanent targets of the ABC’s ridicule and contempt. Its one-sided coverage of the Cardinal George Pell case astounded many.
    The only bright point in its religious coverage is its protection of all things Islam.

    "But worst of all the ABC sees no virtue in ordinariness. The milieu of ordinary suburban and rural life that comprises millions of private-sector employed Australians and their families is of no interest.
    The ABC has a smouldering contempt for those men and women who have made and continue to make this country great. The ABC narrative prefers to delegitimise all that has been built and to support the deindustrialisation of all that we are."

    I myself began looking at the ABC news site a while back to decide whether it is worthwhile including the ABC as a source of current affairs and news. I have found it pretty hopeless to be honest, relying more on ideology than facts.

    An example today, the ABC news site has a leading article entitled;
    "The mother of a man killed during SAS raid says her son's death 'ruined us'"...an "exclusive" investigation according to their ABC.
    Key points:The village of Sarkhume was raided in 2012 and witnesses say two men were killed by Australian soldiers...

    So their basis for this "exclusive" investigation is a couple of locals told them that two men in 2012 were killed by Australian soldiers...really? ...maybe the two men had guns pointed at the Australian soldiers? Maybe the two men had already killed other people and the Australians were protecting other locals? We have all seen what terrorists are capable of.
    But nope...the ABC grand standing once again labeling Australians as baddies...

    Another ABC "headline" today "Australian berry and citrus farms most at risk of having slave-like working conditions, Woolworths modern slavery report finds."

    Allegedly Woolworths with this investigation noting; "It found stone fruit and berry farms were more likely to rely on labour-hire firms, which have been linked to labour transgressions in the past." i

    What a joke...the AlpBC grandstanding once again,...the farmers can't find any Australians that want to work so they might rely on Labour Hire companies to find somebody, anybody to pick the produce?

    Woolworths of course would want to be seen as the shining light that has never done anything wrong....and the AlpBC don't mention anything but; "Woolworths, on average, underpaid its staff up to $33 million annually in the past nine years. In comparison, the FWO has recovered $40 million for 18,000 underpaid workers in the previous financial year"...oops

    Where was the balance in their ABC's lampooning of farmers...why they might be using Labour Hire, no where to be seen. Their ABC just sticking the knife in to our farmers now as well as our Armed Forces. Kroger is 100% correct.

    Their ABC is a joke and cannot be taken seriously...they are not balanced at all. If you relied on the AlpBC for your news you would be seriously imbalanced and totally ill informed imo...
