When I spoke to Straits some 3 months ago I was told that there were 3 native groups in the negotiating process ... well it appears that since then there has been a "metamorphising" process ... who knows, there could be a couple of "breakaway" groups, or maybe a couple of groups hitch-hiked back to Lake Torrens from the "dreamtime"!
Oh well, I am sure that all spiritual issues or land ownership issues will be resolved with the colour of money!
And this is an issue nearly ALL mining companies have to address ... and I am sure that Straits have a good skillset in the negotiating process.
From my perspective, it will be good to give the natives a percenatge of profits instead of a downpayment for the privelege of drilling ... CASH is critical in this current climate.
I mean, give them a small percentage of Lake Torrens ... I don't think it will matter one bit to the share price of either SRL or ARE if another Olympic Dam or a Prominent Hill is discovered!!!
