To me it’s the astounding risk/reward proposition where very unusually the risk is low and the reward is high.
We have a safe previously approved drug that arguably cured AML in two Paediatric cases (survival of more than 20 years), has strong patent and commercial exclusivity position and has compelling performance in treating major forms of cancer ( Breast and Ovarian among others ).
The two biggest hurdles for new treatments are does it work and is it safe, well based on historic evidence it certainly stacks up.
Other biotechs with similar market capitalisation would dream to be in this position.
