Prima Biomed is aiming to carry out Phase IIb trials in USA while concurrently carrying out Phase III trials in Europe.
I wonder if it is possible that the European authorities may have flagged concerns about the company being able to handle parallel trials. In terms of funding, the company is cashed up. In terms of management, the company seems to have a solid team. They may have questioned whether Martin Rogers would be able to handle the two trials in the two regions as a CEO while also being an executive director.
This is just a theory. However, the announcement also indicated that they are looking to add more members to the board. This may be a step towards ensuring that they could strengthen their case for parallel trials.
