    ''you made another mistake and included an additional line that is not from Carl Sagan but just an erroneous anonymous opinion.''

    I didn't say that line was from Sagan. The Sagan quote was: “The fossil evidence could be consistent with the idea of a Great Designer.”—(New York, 1980), p. 29...... to which Mr Gordon added, ''Carl Sagan, in his book Cosmos, candidly acknowledged''

    The rest is a quote of an explanation why the quote was taken out of context and why JW.org are misrepresenting Carl Sagan's comment.

    It doesn't matter who explains why the quote is being misrepresented, be it me or anyone else, named or not.

    The point is that JW.org took a quote from Carl Sagan out of context (quote mining) and used it for their own propaganda.

    Here it is again, in context from rationalwiki;

    Quote;
    Cosmos

    Sagan, Carl (1980). Cosmos. Random House, Inc. New York.
    Great Designer

    Fallacy: Quotemine
    Life concludes its analysis of the fossil record with a quote from astronomer Carl Sagan, leaving the reader with the definite impression that Sagan believes the fossil record to provide evidence for creation.
    Column 1 Column 2 Column 3
    0 Life: Astronomer Carl Sagan candidly acknowledged in his book Cosmos: "The fossil evidence could be consistent with the idea of a Great Designer." (p. 70)[1]   Sagan: The fossil evidence could be consistent with the idea of a Great Designer; perhaps some species are destroyed when the Designer becomes dissatisfied with them, and new experiments are attempted on an improved design. But this notion is a little disconcerting. Each plant and animal is exquisitely made; should not a supremely competent Designer have been able to make the intended variety from the start? The fossil record implies trial and error, an inability to anticipate the future, features inconsistent with an efficient Great Designer (although not with a Designer of a more remote and indirect temperament). (p. 29)

    Considering its context, the quote obviously was not intended to provide evidence for creation, and it is unfair of Life to portray it as such.''

    Once again - it doesn't matter who points out the fallacy, the fallacy of quote mining and misrepresentation is there for anyone to see.
