Your go to guy Carl Sagan believes that

What Carl Sagan believes is a matter of faith. There is no evidence that you can get life from non life.

All experiments with "the interaction of matter and energy - that is, by the consequences of the laws of physics and chemistry "

Carl Sagan has no evidence for his belief
Belief without evidence is blind faith.

Tinnitus, you are apparently in good company and not alone in believing in Carl Sagan
