Lets be frank. In dealing with China, we are dealing with the Chinese Communist Regime that believes, ala Marx, that "Capitalism contains within it the seeds of own distraction". So why should China respect fairness, openness and a free Capitalist Market
so that Capitalism can endure. If we think that the newly evolving market economy in China can debunk the Communist Regime
we have to think again. They are rusted into power and loyally backed by the Red Army who will demolish the country before
it allows the debunking of the Communist System. Uncle Sam knows that and like the demise of the USSR, the only remedy is
subtle economic sanctions. At present US and Western corporations may have jumped the gun by investing $trillions in China
prematurely.

China's interim strategy is to grow bigger and more influential than the USA and then starve Uncle Sam into subjection.
