China might be constructing new coal fired generating plants but I read that they are pulling back on inefficient steel mills and coal mines and concentrating on more efficient mills using better quality coal, ( coking coal) They are setting a priority on improving air quality and pollution. It has to be good for coking coal as it's only only 4 percent of all coal that's dug up. It look's like they are going to get rid of a thousand trucks a day delivering coal into china and replacing them with train delivery from Mongolia and elsewhere. the day's of subsidised poor quality steel is coming to an end there, and that has to be good news.
