yes i too often get caught these days in that the shorters punish stocks more than should be expected - i came in too early (80 s and 70 s) but loaded up again in 60s and high 50s - been selling a few out now

reminds me of bhp where good judges fluffy and trevor sykes thought they were cheap at $20 odd - dropped to 14 what with shorters and brazil scare - i gritted the teeth in the 14's -looking much better now!!

p.s. i hate short selling and think it should be restricted more -particularly by hedge funds, instos and brokers - it wont happen until there is another big crisis caused by it , and/or one or more otherwise viable well known companies go broke due to short selling (making it too hard to raise funds) -we nearly saw that with glencore a while ago!
