thats your quote buddy... your words. its not justified. the BOM said that 24/25 summer was more likely to be drier. El Niño isn't directly associated with drought. but cooler water off the north coast does tend to result in less rain.

I think you will find the BOM quoted thisOn 19 September, the Bureau of Meteorology formally announced an El Niño event for Australia during the 2023/2024 summer.
