There is no energy shortage or available energy.
Germany could stop the closing of its nuclear generation, it has chosen not too. Britain could stop exporting crude, it chose not too. Australia, USA, etc all the same. There is no shortage, just a price increase. When oil hit $150 a barrel way back when, Qantas, freighters, etc were allowed to put on a fuel surcharge. That fuel surcharge is still operating, even when oil dropped to $50 a barrel. GREED is the real fuel on the fire and business is business. You can't have lower prices and super profits simultaneously. Super profits mean more government revenue and right now they need as much as they can take. Albanese isn't going to shoot the golden goose until it's laid enough eggs. The current crisis will stay until they have sucked every dollar they can from the public purse. Just like Covid, we will be here in 3 years asking WTF just happened. Then we will all vote again and forget the absolute cluster f'k that the pollies wrought on the country and vote for red or blue or god help us, green. Voters in general really are as dumb as dog shit. Ask your neighbours or yourself what you know about the person you cast your vote for? Apart from the colour of their tie, they generally know nothing else. Yet trumpet how successful they're vote was in getting rid of one colour in favour of another. Common Sense really is in short supply, particularly in Canberra.
