and hence the importance to them of becoming a nuclear country. it lifts them in world rankings from a third world to a first world country. it will mean they can negotiate with the USA on an equal footing. once they have the knowledge you cant take it away from them. i guess the usa know this and that is why they are trying to stop it now. They wont stop so i guess the USA will be forced into an embarrassing back down again. There is no point bombing the Nuke faclities, they have buried them so deep that they will only get a delay not a destruction of those facilities. The Hezzbollah used this method of protection against Israel and found it very successful. Seeing that this was a proxy for Iran perhaps they were actually testing their theory that the underground bunkers and tunnels would hold?
