The Mormons were founded by Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, both taught that the mark of Cain and the curse of Ham was black skin. The church, if you can call it that, vigorously opposed the Civil Rights Movement. They also taught that the Incas and Aztecs were the Twelfth Tribe of Israel and then pesky old DNA came along. You can also be a god of your own planet if you are a super good Mormon.

In 1978 a revelation by God, no less, allowed all races to receive the priesthood and temple blessings of the Mormons.

And yet this belief system still exists and thrives. Talk about a suspension of disbelief.

There is bias everywhere, especially in images. Have a look at the war posters and the representation of each others enemy. Have a look at the old B/W movies and the black actors all bug eyes, buck toothed and dim witted.

In the American old west 25% of the cowboys were black. Next time you watch an older Western see if you can see a black cowboy.
