PS. This is thread for DOW as in Downer EDI Ltd (a Sydney based engineering/rail/construction/mining service outfit formerly run by a bunch of clueless no-hopers.... but finally installed a decent CEO who sacked the dim-witted and is set on making this company a contender) and should not be confused with DJIA (DOW) in NYSE. Thankyou.
Having said all that..... great to see word has finally got around that DOW is set to release a bumper interim result tomorrow (friday 27th). Let's hope the divs are increased and partially franked as DOW returns to profit after several wasted years. Apparently DOW were 'staggered' by the huge NPAT increase of their nearest rival UGL last week..... and UGL's decision to increase divs by 29%. Mkt this morning is sensing that tomorrow DOW will surprise on the upside. Let's hope so. We need good news.
