'There will be enough': CSL to hit record flu vaccine production

CSL's flu vaccine arm Seqirus has assured Australians there will enough flu vaccines to go around, but people may have to wait as the company commits to ramping up production with another 2 million doses.

Seqirus, which is owned by biotechnology giant CSL, produces the flu vaccine for both the southern and northern hemisphere flu seasons. Ms Dowell said the company had put together a global plan to ensure it can supply both markets adequately this year. Vaccine production for the northern hemisphere's flu season had already begun but has been paused to ensure the 2 million additional doses are completed for Australia."That’s the challenge for us, and we're trying to balance that," Ms Dowell said.
