GiddyYup - Sorry I was out last night, but thanks for the excellent post.

With regard to today's meeting (in a few hours!) I have been looking at the Explanatory Statement, and frankly Blind Freddie can see much of the (then) rationale may have been overtaken by events - in particular the 'no details' ASOF Breach. I haven't got time to go into my notes now, but I don't see how the meeting can reasonably proceed without initially clearing the agenda for a detailed disclosure about the ASOF Breach right at the top, including how the washup may affect the way forward now. This doesn't look like a 5 minute exercise to me. I anticipate the planned details still have to be voted on - we don't have any choice there.

Referring now to your 2nd last para - you said:

"There has been speculation about them wanting control of the tech as the motivation for gaining control of MST. What if they were alligned with a competitor ? Is it conceivable that they are just interested in making sure MST aren't in a position to be awarded certain contracts that are due to be awarded shortly ? The cost of taking MST out of the picture at this critical time is next to nothing compared to the extra profit on selling a few of their own overpriced widgets. They don't have to shut MST down or kill it off, just stall things for a while. Taking control of the board would give them this ability and owning the majority of the shares provides the votes to achieve this".

I've always understood that the real world is ugly. Unfortunately, subject to today's meeting (and I will expect to have your 'competitor angle' discussed) I think this is the best explanation I have heard for what the hell 'might' be going on. Like you - I sure hope that isn't true - but...... Subject to further frank Company advice, it would be easy to imagine we are just (maybe including the Company itself) walking the plank ...slowly! Please may this be wrong.
